Certifications & PIR Coaching
We offer two distinct choices in our online learning. Individual learners can take any of our certifications and become certified based on the requirements. Agencies can register for PIR Coaching so multiple staff members can take advantage of the PIR content.
ERSEA Certification
Six units make up this certification. We establish important ERSEA foundation areas in ChildPlus. Solutions are presented and discussed for the typical ERSEA workday challenges.
PIR Coaching
March 3, 2025 – September 2, 2025 [No Longer Registering New Customers]
PIR Coaching is a six‐month online course that provides an in-depth look at the Head Start Program Information Report (PIR) and how ChildPlus accurately calculates data for the PIR.
During this self-guided course, explore the instructions and questions on the official 2024-2025 PIR form. Using ChildPlus resources, learn the best options for tracking PIR related data and how your agency’s setup impacts calculations. Included in each section is guidance to establish data entry procedures and a reporting schedule to use for years to come.
Education Certification
This certification provides a thorough explanation of education services in ChildPlus. Detailed instructions cover setup, data entry and monitoring for both the Education and Disability modules. This is an excellent learning opportunity for programs that desire to increase or improve their process for tracking data related to child development.
ChildPlus Administrator Certification
The ChildPlus Administrator certificaiton explore the many facets of setup and how each affects module data input and report outcomes. The goal is to build a solid foundation for your agency database. This creates the best possible system to process data in the appropriate modules once it is collected and entered.
ChildPlus Administrator In-Person Certification

This certification is designed for ChildPlus Administrators and Directors who aim to enhance their skills in ChildPlus Database Management. Participants will learn how setup affects module data input and report outcomes. The goal is to build a solid foundation for your agency database.
Module Designer Certification
This certification is tailored for ChildPlus Administrators and Service Area Managers to enhance their skills in customizing modules, managing basic reports, and mastering advanced reporting techniques. Participants will learn to create and optimize custom modules for better data entry and service documentation, and generate various types of reports with advanced tools. The Certification also covers optimizing data documentation processes for comprehensive service tracking and electronic file management.
Family Services Certification
The Family Services module in ChildPlus is designed to streamline the many exchanges that occur between the program and the families. Our Family Services certification provides an in-depth review of the Family Services module. You will learn how to document goals, schedule and maintain timely follow-up and track services related to family engagement outcomes.
Health Services Certification
This online certification covers all aspects of data entry and setup. A thorough examination connects the participant’s information to the PIR data, compliance standards and well-being of the participant. Staff learn to interpret health services reports to improve and expand monitoring skills. The certification illuminates how setup drives the data entry and reporting. Using instructions, examples and assignments, learners are equipped to dissect data for various applications. This includes but is not limited to the holistic assessment of each participant, government reporting and national and local regulations.
