ChildPlus Administrator Certification

 The ChildPlus Administrator courses explore the many facets of setup and how each affects module data input and report outcomes. The goal is to build a solid foundation for your agency database. This creates the best possible system to process data in the appropriate modules once it is collected and entered.

CHILDPLUS CERTIFICATION PROGRAM

In each individual course, content is presented in video format and supported through additional written materials which can include worksheets, activities, assignments and reports in ChildPlus.

All courses in the ChildPlus Administrator Online Program are released at the course start date. There is no required order to complete the courses if you are working towards Subject Matter Expert (SME). For Certification, the course order is below. All access to the courses in the ChildPlus Administrator Online Program end six months after enrollment.

The following courses are included in the ChildPlus Administrator Online Program:

SECURITY

  • l Select security settings applicable to the agency’s security policies
  • Create security groups according to staff positions and similar responsibilities
  • Define security settings for each use

AGENCY CONFIGURATION

  • Differentiate between agency, site and classrooms
  • Distinguish between program, program term and school year
  • Explain uses for funding

APPLICATION SETUP

  • Set up Online Application for remote recruitment

HEALTH SERVICES AND EDUCATION SETUP

  • Customize events for specific tracking needs
  • Set expiration dates
  • Match statuses to specific events
  • Decide which fields to use for data tracking of each event
  • Develop requirement sets based on state EPSDT and local laws
  • Attach requirements to the appropriate program term

FAMILY SERVICES SETUP

  • Add custom fields

DISABILITY SETUP

  • Add custom fields to four modules

SETUP DEFAULTS AND SYSTEM BEHAVIORS

  • Identify direct relationships between customized preferences and the data entry outcomes
  • Create groups to quickly identify a set of participants
  • Set defaults to assist with quickly entering applications
  • Add zip codes along with city, state and county for fast address entry

CUSTOM REPORTING

  • Identify when to use custom filters templates
  • Create agency-specific custom filters to be used on reports or in multiple modules
  • Organize custom filters for easy identification
  • Identify components of a report
  • Create custom reports using the LiveReport module
  • Formulate the next level of LiveReports by using more advanced features
  • Create templates of letters, emails and texts for staff to customize for their specific audience

TRANSPORTATION SETUP*

  • Develop transportation routes based on your agency route needs

SUBJECT MATTER EXPERT

For any one of the courses, complete all the requirements and pass the quizzes and/or exams and you will receive a written Subject Matter Expert verification. All requirements must be met within the specified time frame.

CERTIFICATION

For certification, an individual must take all eight courses in the ChildPlus Administrator Online Program.*

A certificate is issued upon completion of all requirements including passing quizzes/exams or the completion of a final project. All requirements must be met within the specified time frame.
