Quick Tips

#1

What report can we run to see who will be returning and who will be transitioning?

Use Report 2030 – PNPT – Rollover to determine who is eligible to return and who will be aging out.

#2

How early can our agency create the new program terms?

You can create the new program terms whenever your agency starts accepting applications for that program term. Any classroom and site changes will have to be manually revised after the program term is created. Be sure your next program term includes the updated poverty guidelines. Wait to assign your Family Outcome Instrument to the School Year until the summer or fall when it is confirmed.

#3

How early can we perform the rollover?

You can rollover any time after your new program terms have been created. Any program term-specific updates will need to be done to both program terms if applicable. An example of this would be PIR tab questions.

#4

How many calendar days should we enter to calculate whose participation years should be incremented in the Rollover Utility?

This is based on PIR question A.15 which says to only increase the year for participants whose “Prior enrollment includes only those children who, in their previous year of Head Start or Early Head Start, were enrolled for at least half of the time that classes or home visits were in session.” Add all the calendar days your program was in session and then divide by two.
