
Education Certification
This series of units provides a thorough explanation of education services in ChildPlus. Detailed instructions cover setup, data entry and monitoring for both the Education and Disability modules. This is an excellent learning opportunity for programs that desire to increase or improve their process for tracking data related to child development.
Education Certification Overview
In each individual unit, content is presented in video format and supported through additional written materials which can include worksheets, activities, assignments, Head Start resources and reports in ChildPlus.
All units in the Education Online Program are released at the certification start date. There is no required order to complete the units if you are working towards Subject Matter Expert (SME). For Certification, the unit order is below.

Education Setup
- Identify the nuances of configuring Education Events
- Apply Requirement Sets to Program Term
Education Data Entry
- Recognize how to track screenings and other pertinent information
- Utilize efficient data entry using Entry Express
- Record dates and details of home visits and parent teacher conferences
Monitor Education
- Assess requirements to track Events by Program Term
- Evaluate the completed status of requirements
Disability Setup
- Construct and customize:
- Concern Activity Types
- IEP/IFSP Activity Types
Disability Data Entry
- Analyze referrals and services provided to participants identified with a concern
- Document when intervention plans are initiated, renewed and closed
- Relate an IEP or IFSP with the diagnosis
- Develop progress notes
Monitor Disability
- Recall the tracking process of IEP/IFSPs
DRDP in ChildPlus Data Entry*
- l Demonstrate documenting evidence supporting assessment decisions
- Explain assessment determinations based on evidence gathered
- Use reports to determine observation completion, view ratings and inform lesson planning for
participants
Monitor the DRDP in ChildPlus*
- Determine small and large group individualizations
- Compare observations by measures
- Validate agency-wide results and progress
*Not required for Certification, optional units for agencies who use the DRDP in ChildPlus

Subject Matter Expert
For any one of the courses, complete all the requirements and pass the quizzes and/or exams and you willreceive a written Subject Matter Expert verification. All requirements must be met within the specified time frame.
Certification
For certification, an individual must take all six courses in the Education Online Program.*
A certificate is issued upon completion of all requirements including passing quizzes/exams or the completion of a final project. All requirements must be met within the specified time frame.
